Company / founder letter

Why I built Legocia.

Technology should help people remember life, not distract them from it.

What was missing.

I kept returning to the same problem: we had become very good at documenting what could be shared, and much worse at preserving what was simply meaningful. A huge amount of modern capture behavior is optimized around performance, distribution, and attention rather than reflection.

What Legocia is for.

Legocia exists to build tools for private memory preservation. The point is not to create another social camera, creator gadget, or surveillance surface. The point is to help someone hold onto a life that would otherwise blur at the edges.

What kind of company we want to be.

If the archive belongs to the person, then the architecture, policies, and business model have to act accordingly. That is why the company keeps returning to local-first systems, encryption, calm design, and user ownership as the non-negotiable foundation.
