Wake your device, pair it with your vault, and create the encryption key that keeps your archive under your control.
First run
Bring the system online.
Legocia setup is intentionally quiet. The device does not start building a memory archive until you pair it with a private vault and confirm your key custody.

Wake the Optic
Press and hold the shutter button for 5 seconds until the LED ring pulses white. This exits shipping mode and starts local pairing.

Pair with your Vault
Open the Legocia app on the same network as your Vault or Node. Confirm the pairing code shown by the dock before continuing.

Create your recovery key
The app generates your unique archive key locally. Store the recovery phrase somewhere safe. Legocia cannot recover it for you.
Key custody matters
Setup makes recovery explicit because an encrypted archive is only useful if you can still open it years from now.
Calm support
If pairing fails, support can help diagnose the device without requesting access to private recordings.
