Manufacturing

Milled from Solid.

The Node is not stamped from plastic. It is carved from a single block of 6000-series aerospace aluminum. This process takes 4 hours per unit.

Step 01

The Rough Cut

A 5-axis CNC machine removes 80% of the material. We recycle 100% of the aluminum shavings (swarf) back into the supply chain.

Step 02

Anodization

The chassis is dipped in an electrolytic bath to create a protective oxide layer. We use a proprietary "Deep Matte" dye that absorbs light, preventing reflections that could interfere with the optical sensors.

Step 03

Precision Assembly

The Neural Engine is thermal-pasted directly to the aluminum unibody, turning the entire case into a heat sink. This allows the Node to run silent, without fans.
