A Brief History

From Glass Plates to Neural Weights.

The evolution of how humans preserve time.

1839

The Daguerreotype

Louis Daguerre freezes time on silver-plated copper.
Constraint: Exposure took 15 minutes. The subject had to be still. Memory was static.

1900

The Kodak Brownie

"You press the button, we do the rest." Photography becomes accessible to the masses.
Constraint: Film was finite (and flammable).

2007

The Smartphone

The camera is always with us, but it becomes a tool for performance. We stop looking at the world and start looking at screens.
Constraint: The "Attention Economy."

2026

The Legocia Era

The camera disappears. Recording becomes passive. The screen is removed from the equation, returning the user to the moment.
Constraint: None.
